La Jolla Residence

This project is a contemporary coastal villa in La Jolla, San Diego, designed as a luxury private residence with a focus on indoor-outdoor living. The architecture responds to climate and orientation, using deep overhangs to control the southern sun and extend usable outdoor space.

We developed a continuous, fluid form to reduce visual fragmentation. As part of our design language, the slab edge is detailed to accommodate planting, allowing greenery to extend along the façade and blend the architecture with the landscape. Fluted concrete panels add depth and texture under strong coastal light.
